Custom Home Builder Boston

Architect: Grassi Design Group
Project size: 8,200 SF
Construction Duration: 12 months

Connaughton Construction recently completed construction of a 7700 SF expanded colonial (tudor) home in the Cliff Road section of Wellesley. The original structure on the site was raised to make room for the new home.

The house consists of three floors of living space. The lower level is a “walk-out” to the backyard with an au-pair suite, playroom and exercise room. The first floor features a limestone tile foyer with custom curved [katb_testimonial group=”all” number=”all” by=”random” id=”6″ rotate=”no”]wood stairs and wrought iron railing. The main second floor has three large bedrooms, a laundry, dressing rooms and bathrooms with marble, granite and imported tile. There is a separate wing with a custom cherry library. Custom cabinets and six fireplaces (three are gas-fired) enhance the interior.

State-of-the-art mechanical systems were installed including a gas-fired hydro-air HVAC system, and high-speed integrated cabling with custom audio, stereo, and telephone systems.

The exterior features a restoration brick facade with custom-made pre-cast arches, wall caps and gable ends, as well as a wood shingle roof, a brick patio, bluestone terrace, and leaded glass window. Additionally, there is an in-law suite above the three-car garage for houseguests.
